Previously, he played college baseball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Frazier in the sixth round, with the 179th overall selection, of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. Frazier signed with the Pirates, receiving a $240,600 signing bonus.
