Geoff Hartlieb

BIOGRAPHY

Geoffery Thomas Hartlieb was born on December 9, 1993, in Highland, Illinois. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

Hartlieb attended Highland High School and was an all-state in basketball for his last junior and senior years. Hartlieb went on to Quincy University. In his freshman year, he played college basketball. In 2014, he transferred to Lindenwood University to play college baseball draft. In the 2015 MLB draft, he was drafted by the New York Mets but wasn't signed Hartlieb returned to Lindenwood. In the 2016 MLB draft, Harlieb was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates. 

In his first professional season with the Bristol Pirates, he was going 4-1 with a 4.44 ERA in 26 innings. In the 2017 season, he spent it with West Virginia Power and the Bradenton Marauders, combining to go 2-6 with a 2.12 ERA in 63.2 innings. In 2018, he played for the Altoona Curve and in the offseason with the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League. 

In the 2019 season, Harlieb opened with the Indianapolis Indians. On May 17, 2019, he was promoted to the major leagues for the first time. His debut was against the San Diego Padres.
