BIOGRAPHY
Jacob Noll was born on March 8, 1994 in Punta Gorda, Florida. He is an American professional baseball infielder in Major League Baseball.
Noll graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida. He attended Florida Gulf Coast University, and was the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year in 2016 after leading the conference in nearly every offensive category, hitting .367 with 20 doubles, two triples, 12 homers, 61 RBI, 20 walks, nine stolen bases and 58 runs scored. In addition to player of the year honors, Noll was also named a second-team All-American by Baseball America and a Louisville Slugger second-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball. \r\n\r\nThe Nationals selected Noll in the seventh round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, making him the fifth-highest draft pick in Florida Gulf Coast history and the second-highest among position players. Many prognosticators had expected him to be drafted a round or two higher. Noll chose to sign with the Nationals and was named among the organization's Minor League Baseball All-Stars at the end of the 2016 season, progressing from the Class A Short Season Auburn Doubledays up to the Class A Full SeasonHagerstown Suns over the course of his campaign. Noll continued his development in 2017, ending the year with the Class A-Advanced Potomac Nationals. Noll was one of six Potomac Nationals honored as Carolina League All-Stars in 2018. He played for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League following the 2018 season.\r\n\r\nIn 2018, Noll was named the recipient of the ""Bob Boone"" Award. He hit .291 with 20 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs, 72 RBI, 33 walks, seven stolen bases and 82 runs scored in 132 games between Single-A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg. His 72 RBI were the most in Washington's Minor League system, while his .291 batting average was good for eighth. Noll was named a Carolina League mid-season All-Star after ranking 5th among league leaders in batting average (.302), 5th in RBI (46) and 3nd in hits (80) during the season's first half. He was promoted to Harrisburg on June 21 and went on to hit .324 with five doubles, three homers, 16 RBI, seven walks, three stolen bases and 22 runs scored in his first 37 games with the Senators. Noll was named an Organization All-Star by MLBPipeline.com. He hit .265 with two doubles, two homers, 14 RBI and six runs scored in 13 games for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League.\r\n\r\nAfter the 2018 season, MLB Pipeline ranked him as the Nationals' 31st-best prospect; in April 2019, he moved to 27th on the list. \r\n\r\nNoll received a non-roster invitation to major league spring training in the 2019 preseason. A strong spring performance saw him stand alone as the last non-roster player in major league camp by the final day of spring action in Florida. After fellow infielder Adrián Sánchez was optioned to the Class-AAA Fresno Grizzlies following the final spring training game, the Nationals selected Noll's contract and promoted him to the roster for Opening Day.\r\n\r\nNoll made his debut as a pinch-hitter against the New York Mets on March 30, 2019, grounding out on a high chopper. In his third major league at-bat, on April 3, he worked a bases-loaded walk against Philadelphia Phillies reliever David Robertson for a walkoff win in the ninth inning. On April 24th, 2019, Noll started his first major league game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. He recorded his first major league hit the same day, an RBI double off of Rockies pitcher German Marquez.\r\n\r\n \r\n
