BIOGRAPHY

A.J. Brown was born on June 30, 1997, in Starkville, Mississippi. He is a wide receiver in the NFL. Brown attended Starkville High School, where he played football and baseball. IN his senior season at Starkville, he recorded 83 catches for 1371 yards and 13 touchdowns and led his team to a 6A state championship. He earned a place on the first-team All-State by USA Today, The Clarion-Ledger's Dandy Dozen, and the Mississippi Association of Coaches. As a top recruit in both football and baseball, he became the second player after Kyler Murray, to play in both the Under Armour All-America Football Game and the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game. In 2016 Under Armour All-America Game, he caught four passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.

After he finished high school, Brown committed to the University of Ole Miss and in the 2016 MLB Draft, he was drafted as an outfielder by the San Diego Padres. He signed with the Padres, which prevented him from playing baseball at Ole Miss, but he was still eligible to play football. As a true freshman at Ole Miss in 2016, Brown played in all 12 games and finished fifth on the team with 29 receptions for 412 yards and two touchdowns. He finished fourth among SEC freshmen with 2.4 catches per game and fifth with 34.3 receiving yards per game. As a sophomore in 2017, Brown was selected to numerous All-American teams, receiving second-team laurels from Phil Steele and third-team recognition from the Associated Press. He tabbed First Team All-SEC by the league coaches, AP and Phil Steele, while pulling in second-team honors from Athlon, was 1-of-10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award on November 13th, broke the Ole Miss record for single-season receiving yards and tied the single-season school record for receiving touchdowns. Brown led the SEC and ranked 10th in the nation in receiving yards, led the league, ranking 11th in the nation, in receiving touchdowns, and became only the third receiver in Ole Miss history to go over 1,000 in a season. In his junior year in 2018, Brown was an All-America second-team by FWAA, and Phil Steele was a third-team by Associated Press, was an honorable mention by CollegeFootballNews.com, and earned first-team All-SEC by Coaches and AP. He started all 12 games at wide receiver and set Ole Miss’s single-season receiving record in both yards with 1,320 and catches with 85. Brown led the SEC and ranked top 10 nationally in receiving yards per game with 110.0 and catches with 85 and his 1,320 receiving yards led the SEC and were seventh in the nation.

After his junior season, Brown decided to forego his senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft where he was selected in the second round by the Tennessee Titans, and on June 12th, he signed a four-year contract with the team. Brown made his NFL debut in the Tennessee Titans' season-opener against the Cleveland Browns where he caught three passes for 100 yards and during Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, he caught his first two touchdown receptions from quarterback Marcus Mariota.  In his rookie season, Brown finished with 52 receptions for 1,051 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns.

In 2020 he recorded 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in just 14 games. This great season resulted in him being selected to his first pro bowl.

In April of 2022, A.J. Brown was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and signed a four-year 100M extension.

Brown set the franchise record for most receiving yards in a player’s debut in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, finishing with 155 yards on 10 receptions in a 38-35 victory.  Against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, Brown recorded six receptions for 156 yards, including a career high three touchdown receptions. In a Week 13 blowout of the Tennessee Titans, Brown recorded eight receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns against his former team.
