Andy Isabella

BIOGRAPHY

Andy Isabella was born on November 18th, 1996, in Mayfield, Ohio. He is a wide receiver in the National Football League.

In his early years, Isabella attended Mayfield High School. After finishing high school, he committed to Massachusetts to play college football where as a freshman he appeared in 10 games, starting his first game against Kent State. He finished the season with two receptions for seven yards, recorded 28 rushing yards on three attempts, averaging 9.3 yards per carry, and ranked No. 2 on the team with 17 kick returns for 315 yards. 

As a sophomore, he was a Phil Steele All-Independent First Team and appeared in 12 games, starting 10 at wide receiver. Isabella recorded 62 receptions for 801 yards and seven touchdowns and averaged 5.2 receptions and 66.8 receiving yards per game with a 12.9 yards per catch average. He is also a dynamic play-maker also posted 100 yards rushing on only 12 carries averaging 8.3 yards per rush. In his junior season, Isabella was in the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, Phil Steele All-Independent First Team as a wide receiver, he was in the All-ECAC Second Team and he won the NEFWA Gold Helmet Award on November 15. He played in and started all 12 games at wide receiver, finishing the season as the team leader in receptions with 65, receiving yards with 1,020 and touchdown catches with 10, and also rushed the ball 14 times for 135 yards, an average of 9.6 per carry, and one touchdown. He averaged the most receiving yards per game on the team with 85.0, tied for the top spot in yards per catch with 15.7 alongside Brennon Dingle and was second in receptions per game with 5.4. He ranked among the top wide receivers in the nation for touchdown catches (16th), receiving yards per game (27th) and receptions per game (44th), and was one of only 10 players across FBS with three or more touchdowns of 65 or more yards. He also fielded five kickoffs for 114 yards averaging 22.8 yards per return and two punts for 22 yards averaging 11.0 yards per return. He tied for the team lead in points scored alongside placekicker Logan Laurent, and second among Minutemen in all-purpose yards per game behind only running back Marquis Young. He also provided 100 or more all-purpose yards on seven occasions. 

In his senior year, Isabella led the entirety of FBS with 1,698 total receiving yards and 141.5 receiving yards per game, which was 207 total receiving yards and 24.0 more yards per game than the next receiver. He was also second in total receptions with 102, third for receptions per game with 8.5 and tied for sixth in touchdown receptions with 13. His impact in the run and return game ranked him sixth in FBS for all-purpose yards per game with 152.67, which placed him first out of all FBS players in New England and second among all wide receivers nationally. His 2018 season totals rank among the best one-year performances in UMass football history (FCS or FBS) as he now stands first for most receiving yards with 1,698, second in receptions with 102 and tied for second in touchdowns 13. After his senior season, Isabella declared for the 2019 NFL Draft where he was selected in the second by the Arizona Cardinals.

Isabella joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.
