Brandon Bolden

BIOGRAPHY

Brandon Bolden was born on January 26th, 1990 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a running back in the NFL.

He attended Scotlandville Magnet high school; as a senior, Bolden rushed for 886 yards and 12 touchdowns while on the way to being named First Team All-District 5-5A. He also caught 12 passes for 256 yards.

He played college football at Ole Miss; as a freshman in 2009 he played in all 13 games as a freshman, amassing 542 rushing yards, five touchdowns rushing and one touchdown receiving.

In 2010 as a sophomore he Appeared in all 13 games with eight starts as a sophomore, registering 129 carries for 614 yards (4.8 avg) and four touchdowns and 20 receptions for 209 yards (10.5 avg) and one touchdown.

As a junior in 2011, he earned Associated Press All-SEC Honorable Mention honors as a junior after playing in all 12 games with 11 starts and tying the school's single-season record for total touchdowns (17) and rushing touchdowns (14) and finishing fifth in the SEC in rushing (81.3 ypg).

In 2012 as a senior he played in 10 games with four starts as a senior in 2011, totaling 96 carries for 462 yards (4.8 avg) and four touchdowns while serving as team captain. He Finished career ranked second in school in history in total touchdowns (33) and rushing touchdowns (27), third in all-purpose yards (3,681) and fourth in rushing yards (2,604).

Bolden signed with the New England as an undrafted free agent on May 10th, 2012; he made his NFL debut in the season-opening win at Tennessee. Played in 10 regular-season games and missed four games due to an NFL suspension. He finished with 56 carries for 274 yards (4.9 avg) and two touchdowns and appeared as a reserve in both playoff contests.

In 2013 he played in 12 regular-season games with two starts and compiled 271 yards on 55 carries and three touchdowns. Also caught 21 passes for 152 yards and appeared as a reserve in both playoff games.

During the 2014 season, he Played on special teams and as a backup running back in the Super Bowl XLIX and played in all 19 of the Patriots regular-season and postseason games. On January 9th, 2015, Bolden was signed to a two-year extension by the Patriots.

In 2015 Bolden played in 15 regular-season games with two starts and posted 63 rushing attempts for 207 yards (3.3 avg.) and compiled 19 receptions for 180 yards (9.5 avg.) and the first two receiving touchdowns of his career. He also contributed as a core member of the special team's units, where he made one tackle and appeared in both playoff games with one start and rushed for 12 yards on five carries (2.4 avg.). He also caught three passes for 26 yards (8.7 avg.).

In 2016 Played in 14 regular-season games, mainly on special teams, and totaled four tackles and one forced fumble on special teams. Rushed once for 4 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards on offense. He appeared as a reserve in all three playoff games and made one tackle on special teams and assisted on another.

During the 2017 season, he played in all 16 regular-season games as a reserve, contributing mainly on special teams. Totaled 13 rushing attempts for 67 yards (5.2 avg.) and caught one pass for 7 yards. He tied for second on the team with a career-high eight special teams tackles and appeared in all three postseason contests as a reserve and registered four rushing attempts for 27 yards (6.8 avg.) and his first career playoff touchdown.

On September 4th, 2018, Bolden signed with the Miami Dolphins; during the season he appeared in all 16 games and produced eight rushing attempts for 91 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 13 yards and one score. He contributed heavily on special teams, making six total tackles.

On March 13th, 2019, Bolden signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots.
