Cam Sims

BIOGRAPHY

Cameron Sims was born on January 6th, 1996, in Monroe, Louisiana. He is a wide receiver in the National Football League.

He attended Ouachita Parish high school, where he was a consensus four-star prospect that provided size and speed to the Alabama receiving corps and was selected to participate in the Under Armour All-American Game; he ranked as the No. 8 wide receiver by ESPN and rated 49th nationally in the ESPN300.

He played college football at the University of Alabama; in 2014, as a freshman, he saw action in his first collegiate game against West Virginia as a true freshman while playing in 12 games and finished with seven catches for 62 yards and three first downs.

As a sophomore in 2015, he earned playing time in 13 contests, collecting six catches for 46 yards with a long of 16. In 2016 as a junior, he developed a role in the UA rotation at wide receiver and totaled 14 receptions for 152 yards with a long play of 31 yards. He was named one of the Alabama coaches' offensive players of the week for his performance against Chattanooga.

As a senior, he totaled 14 catches for 207 yards and a touchdown and recorded a career-long reception of 60 yards in his senior season. He was selected as one of the UA coaching staff's offensive players of the week for his play against Mercer.

He signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent on May 2nd, 2018; he was signed to the practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on October 2nd, 2019. Sims signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023.
