Joshua Miles

BIOGRAPHY

Joshua Miles was born on January 4th, 1996, in Baltimore, Maryland. He is an offensive tackle in the National Football League.

During high school Miles was a two-sport athlete at Western Tech HS. He played three seasons of football for the Wolverines and was a two-time All-Division selection (2012 and 2013) and was the team captain in the City versus County All-Star Game. Joshua holds the longest touchdown run by an O-Lineman in school history, he also had the most interceptions by a lineman. He played center on the basketball team.

On college, as a freshman in 2014, he provided depth on the O-Line. As a sophomore in 2015, he started in seven of nine games played. Miles received his first start in the season-opener at Air Force, and aided a Bears offense that accumulated 3,292 yards of total offense, including 1,392 yards on the ground. He also paved the way for one of the league’s top ground gainers in Orlando Johnson (583 yards – Ranked No. 6 in MEAC) and the Bears also ranked T-No. 3 in sacks allowed

As a junior in 2016 Miles started in every game (11), he blocked for a Bears offense that gained 3,089 total yards, with 1,319 yards on the ground and 1,770 in the air. He did not play in 2017.

As a senior in 2018, Joshua won Phil Steele's Preseason All-MEAC Second Team, preseason All-MEAC team and was voted as a captain by his teammates. He was also named the MEAC Offensive Lineman of the Week three times during the season. He allowed just a single sack all year and helped lead the Bears offense to 3,250 total yards, including 1,812 yards on the ground. He finished the season as the Third Team All-MEAC selection and became just the first MSU player in school history ever to compete in the East-West Shrine game.

Miles was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 248th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Miles joined the Atlanta Falcons in 2023.
