Luke Stocker

BIOGRAPHY

Luk Stocker was born on July 17th, 1988, in Lexington, Kentucky. He plays tight end in the NFL.

In his early years, Stocker attended Madison Southern High School where he a 2005 All-State and two-time All-Conference and a 2006 Class of the Commonwealth. He also played in Kentucky-Tennessee All-Star Game. As senior, Stocker caught 36 passes for 560 yards and five touchdowns and also made 48 tackles as a defensive tackle, including 21 for lost yardage and 14 sacks while as a junior he caught 38 passes for 328 yards and one touchdown and added 17 tackles for loss. 

After he finished high school, Stocker committed to the University of Tennessee where as a freshman in 2007, he appeared in all 14 games as part of Vols' deep tight-end playing rotation. He had a single pass reception against Arkansas State which then followed that with catches in consecutive games against Alabama, South Carolina, and Louisiana-Lafayette. His first career touchdown came against Crimson Tide and his longest pass play went for six yards against Louisiana-Lafayette. As a sophomore in 2008, Stocker played and started in 12 games where he led the tight end position with 13 catches for 139 yards. He at least had one catch in the season's first six games and in nine different games overall. As a junior in 2009, Stocker played and started in 13 games, recording 29 catches for 389 yards and finishing second on the team with 5 touchdowns. Stocker started the season with two touchdown receptions against Western Kentucky and then set a career-high 5 receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown against Vanderbilt. He finished the season with his best game yet, recording 5 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown against his home state school of Kentucky. In his senior year in 2010, Stocker played and started in 13 games in which he recorded at ñeast 1 reception in every game. He finished the season third on the team with 39 reception for 417 yards and 2 touchdowns. He finished the year playing in the Music City Bowl where he recorded five catches for season-high 58 yards and by playing in the Music City Bowl, he and Denarius Moore set UT record for most games played by position player with 52.

After he graduated from college, Stocker entered the 2011 NFL Draft where he was selected in the fourth round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his rookie campaign, Stocker played in 14 games with nine starts, recording 12 receptions for 92 yards. In 2012, for the first time in his career, Stocker played in all 16 games, making 11 starts, posting career highs with 16 receptions for 165 yards and one touchdown. In 2013, he saw action in the first two games of the season before being placed on injured reserve while in 2014, he appeared in 13 games with seven starts, recording three receptions for 22 yards. In the 2015 season, Stocker saw action in 14 games with 13 starts and recorded nine receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown while in the 2016 season, he played in 12 games with 10 starts, recording five receptions for 23 yards. Before he was released in 2017 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 28th, Stocker recorded 3 receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown. He then was signed that same year by the Tennessee Titans where he saw action in three games with two starts at tight end, totaling one catch for 12 yards. In the 2018 season, Stocker saw action in all 16 games, making 11 starts, recording 15 catches for 165 yards and a season-high two touchdowns. On March 14th, 2019, Stocker signed a two-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons.
