Myles Jack

BIOGRAPHY

Myles Jack was born on September 3rd, 1995, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is a linebacker in the NFL. 

During high school, Jack played exclusively as a running back through his sophomore year, before also becoming a linebacker. As a senior, he had 98 tackles and 24 sacks, leading his team to a 14–0 record. He was a four-star recruit, according to both scout.com and rivals.com, was ranked as the nation's No. 4 outside linebacker by scout.com and No. 1 in the West, No. 11 recruit on the scout.com West 150 and No. 199 recruit on the rivals.com 250 and No. 65 nationally according to Scout.com.

Jack played football for UCLA from 2013 to 2015. Jack saw action in all 13 games with 12 starts, 11 at linebacker and one at running back, he was a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award as the nation's most versatile player and was named first-team All-America by Athlon Sports as an all-purpose player and honorable mention All-America. He made two interceptions on the season, returning one for a touchdown in the Sun Bowl and ending Utah's last possession with the other. Jack started in all 13 games at linebacker, was named second-team all-conference and second on the team with 88 tackles, 8.0 for loss, had seven passes defended, Jack registered double-digit sacks in two games (13 at UVa and ten v. Stanford). He was credited with 15 tackles on the season and recorded an interception vs. BYU.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Jack in the second round with the 36th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Jaguars traded their second (38th overall) and fifth round (146th overall) picks in the 2016 NFL Draft to the Baltimore Ravens in order to move up two spots to 36th overall and draft Myles Jack. On August 31, 2019, Jack signed a four-year, $57 million contract extension with $33 million guaranteed.

In March of 2022, Jack signed a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
