Tom Brady teamed up with Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo to build a playground at the Waltham Boys & Girls Club. Construction of the 2,130-square-foot park on Exchange Street was a collaboration between the Boys & Girls Club, the Patriots, United Healthcare and Kaboom, a nonprofit that has helped build more than 1,800 playgrounds across the United States. KABOOM! works with communities to build incredible, kid-designed playspaces. Kids who don't have access to a place to play miss out on childhood and are denied critical opportunities to build physical, social and emotional health. We envision a world where every kid can get the play they need to thrive, regardless of race, zip code and family income.

In 2017, Brady welcomed nine children to Gillette Stadium courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The children watched game film with the NFL MVP and took photos with the team's Lombardi trophies. This one belief guides us in everything we do at Make-A-Wish. It inspires us to grant life-changing wishes for children going through so much. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible. Most of all, it's the founding principle of our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.

The six-time Super Bowl champion got his playoff stubble shaved off Thursday at Gillette headquarters in Boston. Gillette donated $35,000 each to the Boys and Girls Club of South Boston, Best Buddies and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
